Inline images are not marked as having an attachment

I sent several photos via my iPhone to a separate email account I manage/read with Airmail. I tired to quickly "find" the images using the "Show messages with attachment" filter. To my surprise the emails were not included in the list. I view this as a bug. Embedded binary data (inline images, etc.) should be marked as an email having an attachment. If not, then there should be some way to find such content similar to the messages with filters feature. My suggestion is to expand functionality of "Show messages with attachments" to include emails containing inline images/files in the resulting list.
