New messages in Exchange account not showing up

I have Airmail pulling mail from three accounts: one Exchange (Office 365) account, one Gmail, and one iCloud. With the Exchange account (and only that one), some random selection of my new mail never makes it to Airmail. The only way I detect this is that I can see them on my phone via the native iOS mail app. If I clear/rebuilt the message cache, they show up. But, of course, I need to know that they're there to know to do that, and it's a pain, and it forces a re-index of the whole account, not just the inbox, and my Exchange account is rather large.

Is this just something about Exchange, something just with my account specifically, or something else entirely? Other than this one glitch, I'm happier with Airmail than I've been with any other mail client in a very long time.
