Moving from markdown editor to HTML condenses markdown into "original HTML"

Replication instructions:

  1. Start an email and type something to create an "original HTML" div tag.
  2. Add some content using the markdown editor.
  3. Exit the markdown editor and open the HTML editor. Observe that there are still two div tags in the HTML editor, one with class "bloop_markdown" and another with class "bloop_original_html".
  4. Exit the HTML editor and go back to the markdown editor. Observe that markdown code no longer displays, and any new content added is inserted above what was previously typed.
  5. Insert additional markdown and go back to the HTML Editor
  6. Observe three issues:
    1) the CSS for markdown code has been duplicated. The first line of CSS appears again around line 178 for me. 2) The div.bloop_markdown and div.bloop_original_html that were observed in step 3 are now inside another div.bloop_original_html. 3) A new div.bloop_markdown was created to hold the content added in step 5.

Expectation: The contents of div.bloop_markdown should be parsed back into markdown and displayed whenever the markdown editor is opened. The HTML and CSS that support markdown should only be inserted once, and separate editing sessions should modify the contents of that structure without duplicating the whole structure. The markdown parsed from HTML doesn't have to be 100% as entered (e.g., if the user entered --- to create a horizontal rule, but that tag is parsed to *** instead, that should be fine).

once you do a markdown edit session that is transformed in html and you cannot edit it back
